Pedals are an integral part of a bicycle's equipment. In general, bicycle pedals are subject to high overload and have to endure a lot! You push them hard while riding, you stand on them, you jump. Virtually no other part of your bike is subjected to such forces as the pedals. When you fight uphill off the saddle, it is loaded with your full body weight. Therefore, the pedals must be optimally designed in terms of structure and materials. Again, it doesn't matter if you're riding a road bike, downhill bike, electric bike or dirt bike. The pedals have to withstand a lot, the rest is (almost) irrelevant.

Pedals can be roughly divided into platform and clipless (sometimes called SPD). And of course - hybrids ,also available in our store. There are many manufacturers; some of them also offer other products, such as shoes, other garments, or even whole bikes. We try to provide you with the widest possible range of products, as assist you with the right choice.

Why are new bikes often not equipped with pedals or the included pedals are low-quality platforms?

Bicycle manufacturers cannot predict whether you prefer to use clipless or platform pedals, nor do they know your preferences. For this reason, there is no point in attaching pedals to the new bike, which would increase total price. You may want to replace them immediately.
