A handlebar is one of the most important elements of a bicycle's equipment. Together with the stem and fork, it forms the so-called steering system. Depending on the model we choose, bicycle handlebars differ not only in mounting diameters, but also in the construction itself.

MTB: Stability is the top priority for mountain bike handlebars. When you pedal and lean against the handlebars in difficult terrain, there is a lot of weight put on the steering wheel. It has to withstand shock and vibration, and not brake even if you fall. That is why mountain bike handlebars are especially durable. Due to the low elasticity of the material, the aluminum or carbon handlebars provide additional shock absorption.
The fact that such a handlebar is particularly wide also has to do with changing surfaces and the versatile terrain that “hardtails” and full suspension bikes travel on. The wider the handlebar, the better you can control your stability and direction. Handlebars are not always completely straight either. They appear with a greater or lesser rise.

Road and gravel: So-called "droppers" give character to a road or grave bike. They are aerodynamic and fast. The road handlebar allows you to ride in multiple positions, helping to overcome the fatigue of long journeys and get into aero position if needed. Bicycle handlebars for gravel bikes are often characterized by the so-called "flare", which gives a bit more control in the field, it also allows you to hang a larger bag.
