Description

When we launched the Synonym two years ago, people shook their heads in disbelief. This bike was miles away from any short travel bike that has ever been mass produced. The ultra-slack head angle, massive reach and very steep seat tube has never been used in a short travel bike, let alone a bike designed for XC racing. But The Synonym was the herald of a revolution. Today we all know that progressive geometry is the way to go – even in XC! It’s thanks to that unique geometry that the Synonym feels more like an Enduro bike on the downhills, climbs like a goat and charges like a bull on the flats.

When we started experimenting with this geometry in prototypes, we got results that we expected on downhill sections. These bikes were simply on another planet compared to anything else on the market with this amount of travel. But what we were most surprised to find was that the bikes also climbed better and were super fast on the flats! The ascending prowess comes mainly from the fact that the rider is sitting more in front of the rear wheel and the weight distribution is better on steep uphill slopes.

On the flat sections the performance is stellar because it possible to lower the cockpit and place the rider in a more aggressive, aero position without the bike feeling sketchy on the downhills. The RC range is designed for all-out XC racing and marathons. These bikes are built around an ultra-light weight full carbon frame with flex stays (eliminating the need for heavy pivots) and come with a flat bar, lightweight cross-country tires and 100mm of travel front and rear.

CAUTION: Bikes are set up for riding and partially disassembled, with some parts removed, like front wheel, steering wheel, pedals and seat post with saddle.
