Specialized

A company founded by cyclists for cyclists. It is an American manufacturer of bicycles and bicycle accessories based in Morgan Hill, California. The company was founded by Mike Sinyard in 1974. Today, Specialized is one of the largest bicycle manufacturers in the world.

In 1981, Specialized was the first in the world to initiate large-scale production of mountain bikes, the first model of which it called the Stumpjumper. In recent years, many riders have been using Specialized brand bicycles in North American and European cycling races. In 2010, the company was a supplier of specialized bicycles for Team Saxo Bank and Team Astana at UCI ProTour and Team HTC-Columbia Sigma Sport-Specialized. Among others, they were ridden by Alberto Contador and the three-time downhill world champion Sam Hill. In 2014, in Ponferrada, Michał Kwiatkowski, on a Specialized bicycle, won the World Championship in mass start road cycling.

It's hard to find a mountain biker who has not heard of models such as stumpjumper, rockhopper, demo, enduro or epic. A road bike that does not know models such as tarmac, allez, venge, or the latest ultra-light - aethos.
